Dr Jan von Drathen, Managing Director, E.ON D-Gas

Dr Jan von Drathen joined E.ON D-Gas in January 2006 as Managing Director responsible for Trading and Operations. Jan is also Integration Director responsible for transferring E.ON D-Gas into E.ON Energy Trading SE, the new centrally organized trading company of E.ON. Before he worked for E.ON Sales & Trading as a Portfolio Manager analysing, pricing, and selling electricity load profiles and standard products.  In addition, he managed portfolios for E.ON's customers in Europe. Prior to this he worked for Goldman Sachs in London in the Management Control Department covering equity and commodity trading.

Jerry de Leeuw, Managing Director, Mercurious

Jerry de Leeuw is Managing Director of Mercurious. After completing his study in Economics in 1995 he became a Market Maker on the trading-floor of the European Option Exchange (EOE) in Amsterdam. He established his own Market Maker company in 1999, was licensed under the supervisory body AFM, became a Member of Euronext Liffe, and had clearing-contracts with Fortis and Goldman Sachs. Over the years, Jerry has traded by open out-cry on the floors of various exchanges and has a great deal of experience in screen-based trading.With the Dutch-British energy exchange APX Jerry was responsible for the development of the continental gas markets in Belgium and The Netherlands. Next, he is project manager for the development of a brand new oil index. The project to develop and implement this global price basket is embraced by Nyenrode Business University and this means that Jerry is connected to the university in 2008 and 2009.

As a writer, Jerry is columnist for several websites and he is author of the books 'Milkshakes & Butterflies', 'Hit & Lift' and 'Energy problems & future perspective'.


Anne-Kat Brevik, Commercial Manager, Point Carbon

Prior to joining Point Carbon, Anne Kat Brevik was holding a number of positions in Norsk Hydro. Her tasks were mainly within the fields of commercial negotiations and market analysis, covering both the oil market, markets for natural gas and LNG as well as Nordic- and Continental power markets. Also, she has several years experience as a broker and trader in seaborne transportation and foreign exchange. In her present job within the EU-ETS team in Point Carbon, she is mainly involved in analysis related to energy and carbon price development. Anne Kat Brevik holds a Master of Science in Petroleum Economics.


Alexander Dufft, Portfolio Manager, RWE Key Account GmbH

Alexander Dufft is Portfolio manager for RWE Key Account GmbH. His focus is the development of customized multi-commodity - energy supply contracts for industrial key accounts. Previously he has worked in risk management for RWE's gas business.


Bruno Brunetti, Senior Director, European Electricity, PIRA Energy Group

Bruno Brunetti (Senior Director, European Electricity, PIRA Energy Group) has gained a deep understanding of the European energy markets, having worked for more than 10 years in the industry. He joined PIRA Energy Group in 2001 to establish PIRA's European Electricity Service, which features two regular publications (European Electricity Monthly Outlook and the European Electricity Markets Scorecard). Bruno also contributes to the European portion of PIRA's International Coal and E.U. ETS analysis as well as to PIRA's multi-client studies.

Prior to joining PIRA, he worked within the Markets and Investments team at Caminus (now SunGard), where he focused on IPP developments and asset acquisitions and divestments. He began his career in strategic planning at Enel. He also authored the study "Natural Gas in Power Generation" for Cedigaz (Paris). Mr. Brunetti graduated magna cum laude in economics and management from Bari University (Italy) and obtained a masters in energy economics from the ENSPM / Institut Français du Pétrole (Paris).


Franz Zehner, Senior Consultant, KYOS Energy Consulting (former Maycroft Consulting)

Franz Zehner is an energy trading professional with experience in risk management, portfolio optimization and asset backed trading. He has worked for 6 years as a risk analyst with the corporate risk department of Nuon and as a front office quant with Essent's trading department. As a senior consultant with Maycroft he offers specialized advice on pricing, modelling and risk management for energy and utility companies.


Etienne Gabel, Senior Consultant, ICF International

Etienne Gabel is a Senior Consultant with ICF International in London and works within the Climate and Power & Fuels teams.  Mr. Gabel is responsible for modelling long-term developments in European fuels, wholesale electricity and CO2 allocation markets.  He conducts fuel price forecasts for electricity generators, electricity price forecasts, power plant dispatch analyses and asset valuation studies.  He is also responsible for EU Allowance (EUA) price projections and supply predictions for international CO2 offset credits.  Mr. Gabel received a Master's degree in statistics from Stanford University.

Branko Pribicevic, Vice president Commodities, Gas Origination, Morgan Stanley

Branko Pribicevic is Vice President at Morgan Stanley & Co. Intl. Plc. in London, where he joined the origination group of the commodities department in early 2005 with focus on complex physical energy products and variety of derivatives, supporting customers in managing effectively their commodity exposures. He is specifically responsible for developing customer tailored products in the UK and European gas markets and LNG origination. Before joining Morgan Stanley he was portfolio manager at Electrabel responsible for the Benelux region, concentrating on mid and long term company's hedging strategies. Prior to this he was engaged in consulting activities in Germany primarily for German utilities, including generation optimisation, system operation with a high wind generation and electricity procurement for railway company. Branko holds first degree in engineering and PhD in operations research

Brieuc Raskin, Vice president Commodities, Power Origination, Morgan Stanley

Brieuc is Vice President at Morgan Stanley & Co. Intl. Plc. in London, where he joined the power trading group in 2006 to develop the short-term continental power trading desk. In 2008, he joined the origination group, to develop customer tailored products for power and related commodities in North West Europe. Before joining Morgan Stanley, he was power trader and later business development project manager involved in lobbying and regulatory affairs at Electrabel (2002-2006). He is a qualified engineer and a Master of science in Management from Solvay Business School (Brussels).

Stéphane Caudron, LNG & Business Development, RBS Sempra Commodities

Stéphane Caudron joined Sempra Commodities - now RBS Sempra Commodities - in April 2007, to develop LNG trading and to further expand natural gas trading and marketing in Continental Europe.Previously, Stéphane had been working between 1984 and 2002 in Gaz de France, starting with LNG activities before joining GDF's Gas Purchase Division, where he took part in the major North Sea supply developments from 1989 to 1994. He then joined GDF's Transmission Division until 2002, where he became inter alia Managing Director in charge of Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning. Stéphane then spent 5 years in Statoil, focusing on strategy and business development within Statoil's Natural Gas Division until 2007. Born 1960, he graduated from Ecole Polytechnique, Paris and from Ecole Superieure d'Electricité, Paris.

Gunter Seymus, Investment Analyst, Fair Energy SA, Geneva

Gunter Seymus studied international politics at Louvain-la-Neuve in Belgium and King's College London and gained 6 years of experience as a strategy and business intelligence consultant at AMR International and Datamonitor in London.


Enzo Fanone, Head of Pricing and Structuring, Edison Trading S.P.A

Enzo Fanone is Head of Pricing and Structuring at Edison Trading where he develops quantitative models for pricing complex commodity derivative instruments. He has a degree in Quantitative methods for finance and he is a Phd candidate in Finance at the University of Trieste. His research interests mainly deal with optimization methods for valuing real and virtual assets, structured financial products and real options.

Elisa Scarpa, Head of Market Analysis and Forecasting, Edison Trading S.P.A

Elisa Scarpa is the Head of Market Analysis and Forecasting at Edison Trading S.P.A, the trading unit of the second largest electricity group in Italy. Her activities concern the analysis and monitoring of key drivers and the design of models for trading strategies in power, oil and CO2 markets. She holds a degree in Economics from Bocconi University (Milan) and a master's degree in Energy Finance and Trading from Politecnico of Milan; she is author of papers on commodity finance and price forecasting.
